Thanks to our donors, Maple View Long Term Long Term Care have received their Girl Guide cookies. Now, we invite you to help us send more.

This photo fills our hearts with so much gratitude for so many wonderful reasons.

As many of you know, last week we launched our Cookie Kindness Campaign in which donors could sponsor a box of Girl Guide Cookies from the Owen Sound Girl Guides for a local long term care home or Chapman House Hospice. Due to Covid-19 limitations, local Girl Guides were not able to sell the cookies as they typically do.

The response we received was amazing and we are happy to say that the first 24 boxes have already been delivered to Maple View Long Term Care in Owen Sound along with a note of thanks and appreciation on behalf of you – the donors.

It’s heartbreaking to know that Covid-19 has impacted the lives of the residents and staff at Maple View. Our hearts go out to each and every one of you.

So firstly, thank you to all the front line employees working in long term care and hospice. The work you do is so valuable and so important.

Thank you also to all the donors who extended such beautiful kindness to these care homes when some extra appreciation was needed. The Cookie Kindness Campaign is a success because of you!

Thank you also to our local Owen Sound Girl Guide Pack and Girl Guides of Canada. It’s been a true honour to work with you on this project.

And a very special thank you to Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce who is helping us with the delivery of the cookies across the region. We couldn’t do this without you.

We have now opened up the campaign so that you can sponsor a box / boxes of cookies to care homes right across Bruce and Grey Counties. The cost is just $5.25 which includes $5.00 to the Girl Guides and 0.25 to cover processing costs. The campaign has been extended another week until May 2nd, so there is still lots of time to spread some sweetness.

Thank you SO much for your support.
