Thank an Educator Spring 2026

Each school in Bruce and Grey counties is filled with people who make a difference in ways big and small.

The friendly face at the front office. The bus driver who starts the day with a smile. The EA who offers extra patience. The custodian who keeps everything ready for tomorrow. The teacher who never gives up on a student. The principal who holds it all together.

They encourage, support, listen, problem-solve, and somehow manage the daily chaos with compassion and care.

They give so much of themselves to help students succeed, and they deserve a thank you that feels just as meaningful.

Want to Say a Big Thank You? Here’s How!

This year, show your appreciation by making a donation to the United Way’s Backpack Program in their name. Everyone celebrated will get a “Thank an Educator certificate,” and you will be helping local students start school with everything they need to succeed. Every donation is tax receptible as well, so win-win!

Every Educator celebrated helps us fill a backpack with essential school supplies for a local student who might otherwise go without. It’s a win for the educator and a win for a kid in your community.

You’re not just saying thanks—you’re creating brighter futures.

Here’s What Your Gift Can Do:

  • $20 – One certificate = supplies for a primary grade backpack
  • $40 – Two certificates = supplies for an intermediate grade backpack
  • $60 – Three certificates = supplies for a senior grade backpack
  • $80 – Four certificates = supplies for a high school backpack

The more you give, the more students you help—and the more educators you celebrate!

You can choose a digital certificate (print it at home), or we’ll print one for you to pick up at our office (380 9th Street East, Owen Sound). If contact information is supplied for the Educator, we can send it to them directly.

Why It Matters

Educators pour their hearts into helping kids grow. They’re not just teaching math or spelling—they’re building confidence, kindness, and curiosity.

And when you honour them with a certificate that also supports a student in need, you’re part of that impact.

So go ahead—make someone’s day or school year with a thank-you that really means something!
