We need Meaford Good Food Box Volunteer Site Coordinators

Responsibilities:
- Pick up and manage box orders (Rexall), collect payments, and complete bank deposits at TD bank
- Be local contact, meafordgfb@gmail.com management, social media page management
- Manage customer inquiries
- Submit the order to the supplier- 1 week in advance
- Ensure only boxes that have been paid for or a token has been received are ordered
- Remind customers of order deadlines (orders due by the second Wednesday) and pick-up date and time (third Wednesday, 12-5:30 pm at the Community Centre)
- Coordinate volunteer packers for delivery day (third Wednesday of the month 10 am-5:30 pm)
- Manage the set up of tables to sort and pack produce into boxes, clean up of host site, and disposal cardboard
- Greet customers and record as boxes are picked up, take any pre-orders for the following month, and record accordingly
- Complete monthly reports and bank deposit-send report, bank deposit receipt, any tokens received, and copy of supplier invoice to United Way by both mail AND send a copy/photo by email to food@unitedwaybg.com
- Keep records of orders, pre-orders, and token use
- Promote the program within the community (social media, word of mouth)
The position requires:
- 12-15 hours per month with most of those being put in on delivery day
- Enjoy working with people in the community
- Well organized and able to keep records (computer skills an asset)
- Cash handling and financial record keeping
- Availability to be on site for delivery day
- Some lifting is required of produce on delivery day
