Giving Tuesday – A Day of Giving Back – is happening Tueday, December 1st.

Giving Tuesday is happening this year on Tuesday, December 1st and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s looking much different this year. In past years, we ran our “Brown Bag Challenge” and the idea around this was that folks that wanted to give back to their community could donate what they would normally spend on a lunch out or morning coffee instead. This year is not like other years however and we really want our community members to support our local cafes and restaurants.

So in light of new challenges, we are appealing to the public to do what is meaningful to them to recognize this day. If you are able, a donation to our Community Fund will insure that programming will be there for our most vulnerable – our hungry and homeless, our isolated seniors, our low income families and those struggling with mental illness and addictions.

$15 may not sound very much but when we come together in the common cause of caring – $15 can make a huge difference indeed.

What is Giving Tuesday you may ask. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving and is recognized worldwide as the first day of the giving season. Taking part in this initiative is a wonderful way to give back and to help those in need across Bruce and Grey Counties. All funds raised through this initiative will be invested back into our communities to address poverty and other social issues and will serve the most vulnerable across our region.
