We’re excited to share some amazing news that could mean serious support for our local community. Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) is celebrating its 50th anniversary by launching WINTARIO50, a limited-time lottery and community contest—and United Way Bruce Grey is in the running to win up to $250,000.

This is more than just a throwback to WINTARIO’s early days. It’s a province-wide celebration of giving back, and you can help us be part of it.

What is WINTARIO50?

WINTARIO50 is a raffle-style lottery game running from June 24 to August 14, 2025, with over 800 guaranteed prizes totaling more than $5 million. That includes:

• 100 top prizes of $50,000
• 700 prizes ranging from $50 to $5,000

Tickets are available at OLG retailers and online at olg.ca/wintario50, and can be purchased as:

• 1 play for $5
• 3 plays for $10

But That’s Just the Start — Here’s Where Community Comes In

With every WINTARIO50 ticket purchased, players can enter the WINTARIO50 Community Contest. This separate contest gives you the opportunity to nominate a United Way Centraide region—including United Way Bruce Grey—to receive additional funding from OLG.

In total, $1 million in community prizing is up for grabs. Every one of Ontario’s 26 United Way regions will receive a portion based on nominations and contest outcomes.

2. Enter the Community Contest online
3. Nominate United Way Bruce Grey
4. You’ll be entered to win a $5,000 personal prize, and your nomination helps us compete for up to $250,000 in funding for our region

Why It Matters

Every nomination strengthens our chance to bring additional resources into Bruce and Grey Counties. OLG has supported communities across Ontario for decades, and this contest builds on that commitment by inviting the public to take part in something meaningful—supporting local change through United Way.

The contest closes on August 18, 2025, and no purchase is necessary to enter. You must be an Ontario resident and 18 years or older.
