Today, November 20th, is National Child Day. There are lots of ways to get involved and celebrate.

Today is National Child Day which occurs every year on November 20th. This dedicated day to celebrate children relates to the United Nations’ adoption of two documents centered on children’s rights which includes the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child (November 20, 1959) and United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (November 20, 1989).

At the United Way of Bruce Grey, one of our key focus areas is to do everything we can to ensure that children can be everything that they can be and that they have access to all basic needs required for a healthy and happy life. We address the needs of children affected by poverty, hunger and homelessness, mental health struggles, social inclusion and more.

We invite you to give back to the children of your community by donating to our Hope For Our Kids Fund (www.DonateHope.ca) or Backpack Program (www.Backpacks4Kids.ca).
