We’re proud to introduce our Sponsor a Backpack campaign. It’s a direct way for donors to support local children by funding fully stocked, grade-appropriate backpacks.

The demand is real. The need is growing (1000 have already gone out). And this is our call to action.

We’re aiming to raise $90,000, and every dollar will go toward helping students in Bruce and Grey start school with confidence, dignity, and the tools to succeed.

What Your Sponsorship Covers

When you sponsor a backpack, you’re not just buying school supplies; you’re removing barriers. You’re helping a child walk into school feeling ready and included.

We pack backpacks based on four grade levels:

Primary (JK–Grade 2): $40

Intermediate (Grade 3–6): $50

Senior (Grade 7–8): $70

High School (Grade 9–12): $90

You can sponsor one. You can sponsor all four. Or you can simply give what you can; every bit helps.

Why This Matters

With the support from our amazing community, we’ve delivered 37,964 backpacks since 2005 but this year is different.

• More families are struggling due to rising costs
• More kids are registering for support
• Inflation is driving up the cost of supplies

We know this program works. It has already saved parents over $2.1 million and protected kids from stress, stigma, and falling behind in school.
