Regional Transit System Vital For Community

Residents across Bruce, Grey, Dufferin, and Wellington counties are being asked to share their feedback on the Regional Transit Study, an important step toward improving access to services and opportunities in our communities.

Owen Sound Bus Stop

For United Way Bruce Grey, reliable transportation is closely tied to financial stability, social connection, and access to essential supports. This study is exploring better ways to connect rural communities through a coordinated transit system. The connected services include GO Transit, Owen Sound Transit, Guelph Transit, Colltrans, Simcoe LINX, Orangeville Transit, and Ride Well, which would help improve travel between the four counties.

The survey is open until April 14, and feedback will help shape recommendations going to County Councils later this spring.

Residents can complete the survey online, with paper copies also becoming available at select county offices and libraries:

  • Dufferin County: 55 Zina St, Orangeville, or Edelbrock Centre, 30 Centre St, Orangeville
  • Grey County: 595 9th Ave E, Owen Sound
  • Wellington County: 74 Woolwich St, Guelph
  • Bruce County: 30 Park St, Walkerton (Bruce County Public Libraries: library.brucecounty.on.ca/)

Please note: printed copies at the above locations will be available until April 8, 2026.

This work is supported by funding from the Province of Ontario and the federal Rural Transit Solutions Fund.
