Radio Bingo’s Next Chapter Begins With United Way Bruce Grey

This morning, United Way Bruce Grey had the honour of joining a very special edition of Open Line on 89.3 CFOS FM.

It was a moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you.

Listen to the show here.

After four years of dedication, the Knights of Columbus officially bowed out of running Radio Bingo. Their leadership and commitment helped build something truly special. Over that time, Radio Bingo raised approximately $450,000 in support of community needs. That is an incredible legacy, and one we are deeply grateful for.

We thank Kevin Quinn and the entire Knights of Columbus for everything they have done and continue to do for our region. Their impact will be felt for years to come.

The Voices Behind the Mic

The Open Line conversation brought together many of the people who made Radio Bingo what it is today.

Jackie Ralph from CHMA spoke about the real impact these funds have on health care and community support.

Steve Ritchie and Ian Solecki from CFOS pulled back the curtain on what it takes behind the scenes to make Radio Bingo run smoothly week after week.

Krystal Walser from Bayshore Broadcasting shared how this all began back in 2021 and how the partnership grew into a community staple.

These are the voices and efforts that turned an idea into something meaningful.

Gratitude All Around

We extend sincere thanks to the City of Owen Sound for their support throughout this transition.

Thank you to every vendor, past and present, who sold bingo cards week after week.

Thank you to the volunteers who helped with distribution, logistics, and problem-solving.

And most importantly, thank you to every player who tuned in, bought cards, and chose to support the community in this way. You made Radio Bingo matter.

Looking Ahead With Excitement

United Way Bruce Grey is excited and proud to take on Radio Bingo.

We are committed to honouring the strong foundation that has been built while growing the program in a way that keeps it sustainable, compliant, and impactful for the long term.

This is a new chapter, and we are just getting started.
