LCBO launches their “Buy Local Give Local” Campaign in support of the United Way.
LCBO has been supporting the United Way by hosting point-of-sale campaigns province wide for several years. This year, the campaign “Buy Local Give Local” was launched on July 25th and will run until August 12th. During this time, LCBO cashiers will be asking customers if they would like to donate $2, $5 or $10 to the United Way. Any funds collected at a store will be sent to the local United Way and used towards programs that move people from poverty to possibility, that build strong and inclusive communities and help kids all that they can be.
We recently visited all the LCBO stores within our district which includes Owen Sound, Meaford, Markdale, Dundalk, Walkerton, Hanover, Durham, Wiarton, Lion’s Head, Tobermory, Sauble Beach, Southampton, Port Elgin, Kincardine, Paisley and Chesley. It was such a wonderful opportunity for us to meet the staff and personally thank them for all their efforts raising funds on our behalf.
We also would like to take the opportunity to thank the donors for any financial support they are able to give. Your generosity enables so much work to be done and your donation will directly impact the lives of families who are affected by poverty. In addition to managing two front line programs (our Utility Assistance Program and Backpack Program) we also help fund 12 community-based organizations and 21 agency programs throughout Bruce and Grey Counties. Thank you SO much for making a difference in our communities.
Thank you LCBO. Thank you donors.
