Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is coming to Grey Highlands (Markdale) on February 24th, 2024.

What is CNOY?

It’s a fundraiser that focuses on helping people in your community who are experiencing Hurt, Hungry, and Homelessness. You sign up, ask for pledges, and do either a 2km or 5km walk in the cold to help the people in your community.

Who are the Charities and how do they support Grey Highlands?

United Way of Bruce Grey is an organization that supports the vulnerable people in Grey Bruce. They have a Supportive Outreach Service (SOS) that provides person-centered, multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral health and social mobile response to improve health outcomes and health equity of highly marginalized individuals who experience barriers in access to traditional health services in Grey and Bruce Counties.

They also help residents of Grey Highlands through programs such as; the Financial Literacy Program, Utility Assistance Program, and The Backpack Program. Also by giving grants to programs, projects, and agencies in Grey Bruce.

The South East Grey Community Health Centre is a non-profit organization committed to providing primary care services and health programs to the residents of the Municipalities of Chatsworth, Grey Highlands, Southgate, and West Grey. Our purpose is to further build on the existing support of health care through the dedicated staff in the South East Grey Community.

Funds raised by CNOY will support the needs of the low-income and precariously housed community members in Grey Highlands, Southgate, Chatsworth, and West Grey.
