Habitat and United Way Helping Family Repair Home

OWEN SOUND, ON Wednesday November 4, 2015 – Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce and the United Way Bruce Grey are partnering together to help a family in Owen Sound whose home was damaged by the fires in August. New siding, generously donated by Mitten, will be installed replacing the existing siding that was melted by the heat of one of the fires.

Volunteers are needed to help remove the old siding and install the new siding. Habitat is looking for help from anyone who is willing to lend a hand and is particularly in need of people who have siding experience. The project is scheduled to start November 13th and is expected to be completed by November 27th.

Those willing to help out are being asked to register at Habitat’s website, www.habitatgreybruce.ca and click on the “Habitat Side Project” graphic. You must pre-register before arriving on site. People can also

call (519) 371-6776, ext. 5 for more information.
